Scary Thought

Here's a scary thought. We had over 150 Peruvians at our door on 10/31 screaming Halloween, Halloween. That's what they say instead of Trick or Treat.

When some Peruvians want something or feel compelled to ask for something, they go into a beggar/whiner mode. Their voice is raise two octaves minimum. The odd thing is that this is the voice they ask for candy when they ring your doorbell. The odder thing is that they do the same when they pray for needs.

Thought you would find it interesting.

HSM - Graduation

We went to see High School Musical 3 today. It was in Spanish...well, not the music and since it was a musical, half the movie was in English. It was alright, I guess. For the parent of a graduating senior it was pretty sad.

I know life goes on, but it just won't be the same without my little girl around here. I will miss her so much. We try not to think about it yet.

Shake, Rattle, and Roll

Susie will have to start wearing her shoes to bed again. This afternoon we had our 3rd major shake since being in Peru. It registered as a 4.5 on the Richter Scale.

It lasted long enough for us to get out the door, but we hung around the doorway because the shaking had stopped by the time we got there.

All is safe and sound. The worst effect was 20 minutes of clogged cell lines and spotty internet service. It was in the middle of the Florida blowout, so I was happy loosing the signal.
